Our Legacy
Founded in 1997 by brothers Frank and Joe Leonello, Franjo Construction was built on hands-on construction experience, accountability, and a commitment to doing the work the right way. What began as a family-driven operation has grown into one of the largest open-shop commercial contractors in the Pittsburgh region, serving clients across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Today, Franjo supports projects of all sizes with more than 160 employees, over 100 field professionals, and bonding capacity exceeding $150 million single and $300 million aggregate.
Over the past two decades, Franjo has become a recognized leader in multifamily construction throughout the Pittsburgh market while continuing to expand across retail, automotive, hospitality, office, and adaptive reuse sectors. Franjo has partnered with nationally recognized clients and developers including Greystar, Albion Residential, AM Group, and Merus on complex residential and mixed-use developments throughout the region. The company has also completed more than 120 ALDI stores, numerous Starbucks developments, major automotive facilities, hospitality projects, and transformational adaptive reuse work. Signature projects include the award-winning Uber ATG Crucible Building, where Franjo converted a former steel mill into a Class A office environment. Our reputation is built on proactive field leadership, schedule certainty, accountability, and long-term client relationships driven by consistent execution.
